Wi-Fi Add on cards for Freescale i.MX53 Processor

Redpine's 802.11n Wi-Fi solutions can be used to quickly integrate Wi-Fi functionality into systems based on a wide range of Freescale Processors. Redpine provides SDIO form factor add on cards to add quick and intuitive wireless connectivity to i.MX53QSB board.

The same add on card can be used to evaluate Wi-Fi functionality, performance, reliability and integration capabilities in Infrastructure and Access Point modes.

There are two different software images provided to operate the i.MX53 with Redpine Wi-Fi add on card in Client and an Access Point.

The card plugs into SDIO slot of the i.MX53QSB platform. The kit is accompanied with complete Wi-Fi client drivers and documentation available at Repdine's website. Although the card is designed in a SDIO form factor, the add-on card can also be connected to the i.MX53 platform using SPI pins.

 

 

The drivers are made available on the website for Linux operating system. You can also get the client mode drivers for Android and Windows CE from Redpine Signals.
